How do I get to Budapest centre from Budapest Ferihegy airport?
The airport is located within the boundary of Budapest, 16 km from the city. There are 4 options: train, bus, metro or taxi.
Train: There are 60 trains on weekdays and 45 at weekends from Ferihegy Terminal 1 airport to the city centre. The journey takes less than half an hour and costs 300 forints.
Mini Bus: Budapest Airport also operates shuttle service called ‘Airport Minibus’. The multi-lingual drivers know Budapest well and use the simplest and fastest routes. The journey takes around 25 minutes and costs 2500 forints.
Bus + metro: There are direct bus service from Terminals 1 and 2. The number 200 bus runs to Köbánya-Kispest metro station in Budapest. Metro line 3 takes you to Deák Ferenc Square in the City in 20 minutes. One-way ticket costs 280 forints (€1).
